The scientific journal ICONO 14. Journal of Communication and Emerging Technologies has improved its bibliometric indicators in the Scopus 2025 update, further consolidating its position among leading international publications in the fields of communication, digital culture, and emerging technologies.

According to data published by Elsevier, the journal has achieved a CiteScore of 3.4, improving on the previous value of 2.7. This growth reflects the increasing visibility and impact of the research published by the journal in recent years.

 

The improvement is particularly evident in the two subject categories in which the journal is indexed. In Communication, ICONO 14 ranks 140th out of 541 journals, placing it in the 74th percentile and maintaining a strong position within the second quartile (Q2). In Cultural Studies, the journal ranks 104th out of 1,434 journals, reaching the 92nd percentile and entering the first quartile (Q1) of the category.

 

Alongside these results, other Scopus metrics also show positive progress. The journal records an SJR 2025 of 0.48 and a SNIP 2025 of 0.992, confirming its growing scientific relevance and international visibility.

 

These achievements are the result of the collective efforts of authors, reviewers, members of the scientific committee, and the editorial team, as well as the journal’s ongoing commitment to scientific excellence, editorial transparency, internationalization, and the dissemination of knowledge through open access publishing.

Since its inclusion in Scopus in 2019, ICONO 14 has maintained a trajectory of sustained growth across its main impact indicators. This progress complements its presence in other major international evaluation and indexing systems, including Web of Science (ESCI), SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), Dialnet Métricas, and the FECYT Editorial and Scientific Quality Seal.

The improvement achieved in the Scopus 2025 update represents a new milestone for the journal and reinforces its position as a leading venue for the publication of high-quality research in communication, digital media, culture, and emerging technologies.
