Abstract

To face any electoral period, the greater part of the political organisations, as well as a good number of candidates to individual title opt by the social networks to treat to favour the diffusion of his messages and, besides, to offer a nearer image to the electorate. Twitter has turned into one of the channels of communication preferred by the public institutions, the political parties, the business organisations and the social agents to the hour to establish bows of communication with his militants, simpatizantes, associated or customers.

Author Biography

Francisco José Murcia Verdú, University of the Basque Country

Francisco José Murcia Verdú has a degree in Journalism from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU) and is a doctoral student at the same university, investigating The journalistic chronicle in the work of Nicolás Salmerón y Alonso (1856-1888). He holds a Master's Degree in Innovation in Journalism from the Miguel Hernández University in Elche and obtained a university specialist certificate in Community Manager from the University of Almería. In addition, he is a journalist in the newspaper Diario de Almería and coordinator of the Vivir en Almería section of this medium since February 2008. On the occasion of his work in the profession, has been recognized with various awards by entities such as the Spanish Association against Cancer, La Zapatiesta de Baco and the Association of Colombians Almería para Todos. His journalistic work has also been disseminated through different media such as magazines, newspapers and digital media. 

He is the author of several articles in scientific journals such as Icon 14, The information Professional and Miguel Hernández Communication Journal. He has also published almost twenty chapters of journalistic dissemination, in addition to imparting dissemination papers on the profession. He has participated with communications and papers in various national and international conferences on journalism. Among his lines of research, are the evolution of journalistic genres and new narratives.
