Abstract
The application of emerging technologies in the field of journalism is allowing the multiplication of communication possibilities, which forces us to rethink everything that has been done, everything said, all the customs of the printing and Internet era if we want to continue existing. This is how the journalist and professor Ángeles Fernández Barrero understood it in her latest book, El Periodismo que vuela. Drones, 3D, smartphone and robots, emerging technologies for the journalistic profession, a work "essential to walk this path that opens new avenues of research in the field of communication", as Antonio López Hidalgo indicates in the prologue of the work (p . 11).
