Guest editors: Antonio Baraybar Fernández, Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain) | Miguel Baños González, Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain) | Ana Veloso. University of Aveiro (Portugal)
This Thematic Line presents investigations that allow us to know how the unconscious reactions of our brain are evaluated and measure the emotions generated before the stimuli received by means of non-invasive neuroscience tools. It brings together the results of applied research used in the professional market through the presentation of real cases and evaluates the opportunities and threats faced by this speciality in its quest to deepen the study of the feelings that human beings experience, entering the future close to these research methods to know their possible contributions for a better knowledge of the links between audiences and the messages disseminated through the new communication tools.
LTE2. Digital cultures on social media
Guest editors: María Amor Pérez-Rodríguez, University of Huelva (Spain) | Amanda Alencar. University of Roterdam (The Netherlands) | Daniela Jaramillo-Dent. University of Huelva (Spain)
This Thematic Line gathers research that explores how the digital ecosystem of social networks gives rise to practices generated by creators that make collective experiences visible. In some cases, they give rise to cyber-activist movements, or they become a trend generating dialogue and debate, or challenges that brands and influencers promote, thus constituting true digital cultures of great impact on networks such as Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or Snapchat It investigates the strategies, languages, codes and competences that allow content to be connected and made visible so that they become a trend, exploring the new modes of expression and communication that these groups of creators use in social networks.
This Thematic Line is part of the works of 'Alfamed' (Euro-American Network of Researchers), with the support of the R + D + I Project (2019-2021), entitled "Youtubers and Intagrammers: Media competence in emerging prosumers", with code RTI2018-093303-B-I00, financed by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), and the I + Di Project (2020-2022), entitled «Instagrammers and youtubers for the transmedia empowerment of Andalusian citizens.
